STOP LYING, The truth about Software Engineering
Now give us the learning curve of Haskell!
id = negative 11 beers
I used async Rust in my last job for 2 years and I honestly thought it was fine after the initial learning curve.
so basically, GERMAN. should have just started with Haskell.
Honestly though jokes apart And ultra wide or extra monitor actually increase efficiency 😅
for anyone wondering why the grep string isn't working... install ipgrep... sudo apt install ripgrep on debian systems
instructions unclear, I just spent two days trying to setup neovim
write in C++ then convert to Rust using ChatGPT.
Hey that’s not Thor
In C++, my code automatically crashes if it's the wrong type!
I would like to work in anything except JavaScript. Java, Python, Go, C# (Fullstack system)
Has Primeagem really turned on rust after all the rust-selling?
It's good for boiler plate and simple tasks
“”Good enough” is an enemy of all humanity.”
all of the boilerplate of a type system with all the extra guard checks of a dynamic language. TS really is beautiful.
Speak for yourself. My code is immaculate. No one writes a better Hello World than me.
then rust used for linux kernel.... bye bye....
I'm disappointed C isn't C
I just built a rust plugin for a build system that doesnt use cargo and invokes rustc directly, I feel you
Why so many theories? That's stupid. There's Only 1 reason, it's the correct answer.
I work as a QA engineer, I will have nightmares about this tonight 😂
These reasons he gave for not liking rebase are absolutely dumb. I see a cast like this and expect people who have original, intelligent ideas. I make a bunch of commits while developing, sometimes just to test something or mark a tested point-in-time with a difficult problem. When I send that to main/master, having that history is absolutely freaking pointless. This guest does NOT know what he's talking about so WTF are we listening to him?
Man discovers data validation. In other news, bugs found in software.
Imagine comparing haskell to rust😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 haskell as NO applications outside fucking university 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bad take. 1. You would’ve had to read documentation anyway to learn whatever you’re learning. It’s not like you can just open up Go and start writing stuff with no idea what the methods and syntax are. LLMs fill that role in learning much better. You can ask them specific, pointed questions, and get specific answers to what you need. 2. Nothing to back up the claim that you will learn fastest by “using your hands.” Using copilot gives you great code examples to learn from. I very quickly learned JavaScript using LLMs to help me write JavaScript at the start. Then, I tried to understand the code it made, and worked on it myself. Now I can, and do, write JS without an LLM. That learning curve would have been a lot slower without it. Prime’s mind is already made up on AI, though. Prime will probably never even look at just how improved Claude 3.5 is at coding or give it a chance. He does not care. He stopped using copilot and ChatGPT months ago.
you have a point for sure. I know out there there someone copy/pasting from AI to production
amazing content behind curtain...
I love math. I've been doing math my entire life. I've been addicted to math. But lately, math and I have been cooling down in our relationship. Our relationship has been going nowhere. So I'm considering switching from math to meth. If that doesn't work out, I can always switch to moth (sniffing mothballs).
yoo that's one super dope video to make!!
From Meth to Netflix? So things got much worse?
UZUMAKI - Junji Ito...
Hands down the best programming advise on the entire internet.
Please try write a program in tailwind, I dare you.
is that enough for a 1Billion$ TC ??
If used wisely, co pilot and chatgpt are quite usefull for code development . It's like having an assistant doing the mundane tasks and me finalizing it An error I see often is just grabbing some random library, but using commands the library doesn't know
YOU were the one that did this?? Holy, I remember hearing about this a while back (I'm not a programmer), but that's awesome man, you made internet history!!
I love how he could have just streamed the game using existing streaming tech but instead created an ASCII game engine and custom compression LMAO
its... the only way to live your life
AI writing code is the best thing to happen to me. Do you know how much you can charge to fix AI code? There's entire companies now of imposters!
now I understand why i write bad code! if I had 4 monitors, I would be able to implement the next era of programing, programing in asmebly
Wow, contracted!
I'm a student, and I enjoy this channel more than the funnier one. This one is gold.
This does explain why I've never seen any software that has any kind of structure... We call it "historic growth" or even "hysteric growth" if it goes out of control
I had to read the comments to be sure i understood what he meant.
Why tho , just make a new code with does same thing but Better why bother with old code at all All my old code is garbage i know and when i code i start from 0 , this way am looking at new options that you can not see when you looking at your old dog shit code.
In fact a and b were your temporary variables
Reason is simple. It learns from questions too. It doesn't know differentiate good code from bad code.
I only use gpt for errors I have never seen before
This is why I code without underwear
All that for an AI bot replacing you
Skill issue
